Cool?
[edit]I don't agree with characterizing Jolly as a "cool jazz" musician. Maybe "West Coast" because "cool" was only one part of West Coast. Leonard Feather likened Jolly's style to that of Horace Silver. Ted Gioia emphasized the Bud Powell influence.
