Violence

[edit]

Safety issues and various shootings/muggings/murders happening at this downtown mall need to be discussed! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.77.206.6 (talk) 04:31, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed this section: Portage Place is full of gangs that threaten the lives of customers so attendance has been falling in the past five years. Attempted murders, shootings, drugs deals, you name it. Polo Park and St.Vital have become the malls to shop over and above this crummy downtown mall. Hopefully one day the Winnipeg Police, worthless as they are, will finally decide to enforce the law like taxpayers pay them to do. Lazy slobs. Effectively, Portage Place security guards have been forced to take up the job of policemen, wearing body armour to protect themselves when dealing with thugs.

It is unencyclopedic. Fences and windows (talk) 04:56, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Per Square Foot Sales - Needs updating to recent figure

[edit]

As of 2010, Portage Place generated $250 per square foot in monthly sales and charged retailers $15–$40 per square foot in rent, and monthly rent for the food court was $135 per square foot. Jimj wpg (talk) 20:44, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
