Potap is not about a band. Potap is a famous Ukrainian producer, composer, and singer. He is notbale and may be Ukraine's next Eurovision entry with Nastia Kamensikikh [1]. --Boguslav (talk) 01:14, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Update!

[edit]

This article really needs updating! A.h. king • Talk to me! 09:37, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed - the Russian version seems to be more engaged than either the English or the Ukrainian pages.

On the other hand, finding someone with time to kill to translate may be a bit of a puzzle.

There is also lots of "pop culture" out there that makes for a question - which updates actually matter? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.121.73.254 (talk) 20:23, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism removed

[edit]

In 2014 Potap and Kamenskih were criticized in Ukraine for continuing to attend award ceremonies in Russia (in the aftermath of the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea and Russian support for the Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic). I included this information (well sourced according to my opinion) into this article in December 2016 but it was since removed and the edit history does not tell why... Is there a good reason it was removed? If so, please do tell. The Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons guidelines do say that biological Wikipedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view. Removing any critical information about a person is the complete opposite of that. Wikipedia is not a PR-tool to create fantasy stories about your favourite artists. I re-introduced the above mentioned criticism back into the article a few moments agoYulia Romero • Talk to me! 11:57, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
