Purpose of existance

Should there really be an article on something that is not a separate crime but a mere literrary pleonasm? Murder is always premeditated. The premeditation is what distinguishes murder from manslaughter. Tvx1 (talk) 20:32, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that this could be merged into "Murder", but note that premeditation is not always required for murder. It depends on the law of the jurisdiction. in Canada, premeditation is an element of first-degree murder, but not an element of second-degree murder.Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 10:55, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
