Untitled[edit]

Can someone move her to Princess Maria Anna of Savoy please! Looking around, most sources refer to her as Maria Anna rather than Maria Ana or Mariana! Makes sense as it was her most common name! Mercii Monsieur le Duc (talk) 15:48, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since that already exists as a redirect to the Austrian empress, the only logical solution would be to disambiguate her from the Empress by putting in her marital title. LouisPhilippeCharles, which of the following would you prefer:

Found info[edit]

"Letters from Rome, of the 12th of April, say, in continuing the excavations in the neighbourhood of For-manci, there were found, a few days since, three high statues, measuring each nine feet. The first moderately executed, represented a Bacchanal, in good proportion ; the second a Bacchus of exquisite workmanship, the head and trunk of which are not at all damaged, but the arms and left leg are in pieces, and the right leg cannot be found. The third also represents a Bacchus, well sculptured, in polished marble, and in admirable pre-servation ; not only is it entire, but it has neither stains nor marks of friction, and seems just from the hands of the artist. The Duchess of Chablais, owner of the place, is highly pleased by the discovery." http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article2182412 jayoval (talk) 09:17, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
