Photo used in infobox

[edit]

If you look at this photograph, it is rather striking how much detail there is in the face, but none of the surrounding features, which seem to have been shoved through a filter to mask pixelation from a low quality JP(E)G. The face (and part of the framing white strands of the headdress) stands out quite starkly with smooth gradients and individual hairs and creases visible. Above the forehead it's even clearer that someone has slapped a modern face on an old picture. The only old part seem to be the cheek dots. Since every journalist nowadays falls back on Commons for pictures, this is misleading as all shit. Is there anyone from Mongolia who has access to a digitised original in better quality? Notability

[edit]

I fail to see how this person is "obviously notable" considering there is such little info on them that we don't have any properly sourced or verified photos of them. the main portrait is clearly a modern edit at the very least, likely an outright reproduction. the other photo featured in the article seems to be a modern colorization of an older photo and isn't even properly identified as such or cited with a source of who performed that colorization. If I read correctly, the notability of an individual is meant to be demonstrated before the notability tag is removed, and yet the article is currently overwhelmingly sourced from pop history websites which themselves lack adequate citations — Preceding unsigned comment added by Brycegallo (talkcontribs) 01:44, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There are problems with the article. The problems do not mean the article subject is not notable. //Lollipoplollipoplollipop::talk 11:09, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Killed by Stalin?

[edit]

It is well known she was killed by her own people after it was revealed she was working with Japan to restore the monarchy to power in the newly established Mongolian People's Republic. This article needs a complete rewrite as the sources are from pop culture, including a dramatized movie Хааны сүүлчийн хатан. 69.113.236.26 (talk) 09:39, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

i would argue that, in popular culture section, “inspiration” is inaccurate. in photos, the clothing, makeup, and hairstyle for Queen Amidala are almost exactly 1:1 copied from the photo in the article. i would suggest to describe as “culturally appropriated”, rather than “took inspiration from”. photos of the Star Wars outfit can be found through a web search for “Queen Amidala senate gown”. 24.21.52.191 (talk) 01:26, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
