Center ≠ physical center[edit]

"Despite its name, the mall is not located at or even near the geographic center of the borough, which (if the Rockaways are included) would be located four miles to the southeast around Richmond Hill. Queens Center opened in 1972 on land previously occupied by a children's amusement park named Fairyland, a supermarket and automobile parking."
