AGL - limited by what?

[edit]
> 1,000 feet (305 m) above ground level (AGL)

I guess it's the maximum distance of radio that limits the GL. Correct? --marsian 22:01, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

correct, I am the pilot of one in my unit, but 1000 feet is bogus, I've had one up to 8000 feet AGL... the members of Aerovironment that teach the class say its ceiling is 10,000 AGL, or 15,000 MSL. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.242.28.208 (talk) 23:09, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Operator, kid, you're not a pilot 'til you crash it.70.122.96.26 (talk) 03:16, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Estonian useage

This might be a useful reference for that. - The Bushranger Return fireFlank speed 00:23, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

I think that FQM-151 Pointer should be merged into this article. The two types are closely related, the Raven being a development of the Pointer, and it would help both articles escape stub/startness, in addition to making the story of the type more complete. - The Bushranger Return fireFlank speed 17:20, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's all well and good...

but what's it used for? Surveillance, presumably - does it have a camera onboard? Audigex (talk) 21:51, 28 December 2011 (UTC) Yes.70.122.96.26 (talk) 03:18, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Could you guys provide source of this claim please???

[edit]

I have "edited" the article. But would really appreciate ANY "source" confirming that QUOTE: More than 19,000 Raven airframes have been delivered to customers worldwide to date. Even link claiming that 1000+ airframes were produced would help. 70.49.169.86 (talk) 01:00, 24 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Air Force?

[edit]

Last I checked, it's pretty much everybody but the Air Force who uses these things. Why isn't it in the category of Army equipment instead?

Capture by Iran Section is inaccurate

[edit]

This article says "In 2013/June/5, RQ-11 captured by Iran's Armed forces after going inside Iran's border". That completely impossible given that it's only February 2013. It has a link to some yjc.ir article that it's in some language I don't read (Hebrew?) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.22.55.47 (talk) 07:34, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the article in English. I think you will have a hard time arguing a reference is wrong if you cannot read it :-). --MarsRover (talk) 00:33, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Capture by Iran Section is completely wrong

[edit]

The UAV captured (in 2012 I assume) is clearly not a RQ-11 RAVEN. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.216.78.95 (talk) 20:26, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
