The whole page

[edit]
hello, I understand as I become more used to Wikipedia how these pages work. A lot of attention has been drawn to this page, perhaps as a result of the additions I made.

I no longer have any desire to restore the page to reflect similar artists pages on Wikipedia. I see now that this page is currently being held to different standards.

I hope that anybody who has any issues with any edits or citations I or anyone else added will be kind enough to flag this, rather than deleting everything. This has been a very contentious page over the last few weeks, and I wouldn't wish anyone to be stressed out by any changes. I think it would be interesting to add some info regarding his early work, and his development as an artist, but I don't wish to attempt this if it will be immediately deleted. This info might be good for young people who wish to become photographers, and this is my only reason for potentially adding it.I will not try to add this at the moment, as the page is being edited and additions deleted daily.

I have no contact with Rankin, and I am not paid by him.

Hi, I have done some work on the page - building on what preceded. There were some solid sources and this is a heavily linked to page from other legitimate Wikipedia pages. Again, the subject is not somebody I have met; had anything to do with or have any direct or indirect conflicts of interest in relation to. It is just a valid subject page for Wikipedia. Reviews

[edit]

My quotes from the Standard are meant to set out his style rather than be a review.

No section on reviews would be complete without the Guardian's view on 1/5 Life of the Saints - It looks worryingly like a vanity project, but there's nothing here to be vain about.[1]

Ninety nine notable portraits

Just got to 99 portraitees. Not at all what I was expecting so it is one in, one out now.Ed1964 (talk) 12:43, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Photo

[edit]

I have added a photo of Rankin circa 1988 to wikicommons. If anyone would like to add it to his Early Life page, it is available. Rankin CujoJnr (talk) 20:15, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
