Please provide the section "Popular Song Among Portuguese Community" with some references, it seems like people who made it only want what they claim to be right, unless they can proof it with neutral and reliable references. People of Molluca are not Malays

Please do not call Ambonesse/people of Molluca as Malays. As they are not. They are pacific, and therefore the song of Rasa Sayange is not Malays songs. I am Ambonesse and I don't like others put me in the group of Malays or "Rumpun Melayu", it is very offensive for us. And the Nusantara Archipelago does not include Malay Peninsula. Nusantara Archipelago is Indonesia, not Malaysia. If Malay Peninsular is included in Nusantara Archipelago does it mean Thailand also inlcuded in the archipelago? I see. Ambonese are not Malay, and many ethnic groups like Javanese and Sundanese are not Malay as well, remember the anthropolog scholar called all the Indonesian archipelagoes (including Malayan Peninsula) inhabitants as Malays because our ancestors were categorized as Proto (old) Malay and Deutro (young) Malay when they first came in this archipelago. They were the ancestors of all ethnic gropus in Malayan Peninsula and Indonesian archipelago. So just like Javanese or Buginese and so on they also will never want to be put into "Malay" but we are all surely descended from Malay race who came from Indochina and Yunnan from the pre-history era long time ago, so we are Malay race not Malay ethnic group! And it is very different with the race of "native" Malay (orang Melayu) ethnic groups living in the Malayan Peninsula (Malaysia), Sumatra and Borneo nowadays. Malaysia and Indonesia have been called as Serumpun (one race) because of we are descended from one ancestor. Malay (orang Melayu) are descended from Deutro Melayu like Javanese, Sundanese, Balinese, Madurese etc. Ambonese Malay doesn't mean it is from Malay ethnic groups but the language is somewhat understood to other ethnic groups. Thai people are not Malays, they are Indochinese. Don't you know that the Aborigin people in Australia and Madagascar people near Africa are also categorized as Malay race (but they are not Malays ethnic groups) because their ancestors were the same as ours as well.

Just a fact check, not all Thai people are Indochinese because many Southern Thais are Malays. The Southern Thailand is comprised of five Malay-majority states: Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Satun and Songkhla. There are approximately 2 million Malay populations in the Southern Thai region which shares a border with Malaysian states of Kedah, Perlis, Perak and Kelantan. Culturally

If you want proof, the fact that it distributed all over Malay Archipelago Brunei, Philipines show it long originated from Melacca which is a trading centre. If it originated in Ambon, the Portugis in Melacca would not have accepted it such. The Dutch then got it from Melacca when they defeated the Portugis in 14 Jan 1641 and bring it to Indonesia after London Agreement 1824, when they exchange Melacca with Bencoolen in Sumatra. The song also incorporated pantun which first examples to be recorded appear in the 15th century in the Malay Annals and the Hikayat Hang Tuah which is written in Malay. Well said bro Yosri, forgive me to say this but so far, "Indon facts" are not convincing enough to prove that this song originated from Moluccas. At least give us the name of the original Moluccan composer with valid reference and an explanation on "why the heck a Moluccas folk song is written in Malay language and having the lyrics based on Pantun?". Its not about Malaysia or Indonesia. The source (neutral one, and not written by Malaysian) mentioned that it is a Malay song, sung in Malay language.
