Proposed merge of Sumant Sinha into ReNew
[edit]Fails WP:GNG, Qualifies WP:TOOSOON. Standalone encyclopedic value is not ascertained. The page talks more about ReNew Power and the credible sources are basically linked to that entity and rest of the references are sponsored articles masquerading as independent (and credible) journalism. - Hatchens (talk) 17:09, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
Contesting the suggestion
[edit]I have been editing the current page and likes of this page predominantly pertaining to Indian territory.
I partially agree with your point of view that the page should be edited for the contents other than that of ReNew Power, however, Sumant Sinha is a key figure in Indian business and public diaspora and of course whatever happens in India is significant because of the massive population of the country that contributes to approximately one-fifth of world's living people. The said personality deserves and individual Wikipedia page and the same can be edited with Sumant Sinha's other activities (example:https://www.newsindiatimes.com/akshaya-patra-foundation-raises-500000-in-virtual-gala/) than just of ReNew Power. Since, I didn't get time to review the contents later on, it wasn't addressed. However, I will look in to the matter sooner. I will also keep in mind about the point highlighted about references linking and try to get neutral sources from the public domain.
TIA

- Ch.th, your suggested example is written by a staff writer (without a byline) which makes it seems to be purely sponsored/paid content WP:PAID. On top of that, the entity lacks WP:SIGCOV. Period! - Hatchens (talk) 14:31, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
