About creating this article[edit]

I created this article to help round out the articles on Chinese mythological geography, using [[WP:|parenthetical referencing]], as suitable for an academic orientation. Also because I edit generally using key-boarded text input (sometimes paste), and dealing with short citations using REF tags can be tedious; if someone, as has happened in some other articles that I started, decides to apply an SFN template to the existing WML text, then, manual changes become more tedious. Speaking of tedious, I also have not provided reference citations supporting the existence of major world rivers, other than by links to Wikipedia articles about them. I am unwilling to move over the references without checking them out myself, and consider checking a waste of my time. Their existence I can call "common knowledge". Improper drive-by scare tags[edit]

I think it almost amounts to vandalism (although surely not intended that way, one hopes) to put tags at the top of the article which claim that it lacks clear in line references, when it does indeed! How are editors supposed to deal with having articles defaced by falsely-placed scare tags. These are of no service to the end user or reader, and in fact do harm by making it seem as though the information were inaccurate. It is a good thing when people collaborate to improve articles (bots to a much lesser extent), but having these tags slapped on every article begun with parenthetical inline reference citations is not good, and also not per Wikipedia guidelines, or common sense.
