COI[edit]

I did not put anything other than facts on the page ... no selling of the gallery .. no 'greatest', 'most important', etc. I looked at other gallery articles in wikipedia for guidance. A Question and Some proposed changes[edit]

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.

I would like to find out why the following text was removed from the article since it is the ongoing history of the family gallery which is now in its fourth generation: Alyssa T. Rehs, an Art History graduate from the University of Rhode Island, started her art dealing career with the firm on January 3, 2013 and on March 4, 2013 Lance J. Rehs, a Finance graduate from Hofstra University, joined the firm.

In addition, the firm changed ownership at the end of 2015. Joseph Rehs retired in December of 2015 and Howard Rehs became President and sole owner of the gallery. The gallery was also elected a member of the Antiques Council in 2017.

Request some answers[edit]

The entry for Rehs Galleries has been active for many years and numerous editors have looked at it in the past and agreed everything was fine (other than one who decided to remove most of it and that was overturned). Why can a new editor decide to override those earlier decisions and remove most of the content? Also, why was the information about Scholarly Publications removed? The gallery has been working on these projects for a long time and there are many outside references for them:

There's no such thing as an "approved version." Any non-coi editor can improve any article as was done here, explaining each edit with an edit summary. The article history shows you have a long history of WP:COI editing and attempts to WP:OWN this article, repeatedly inserting copywritten material from your own website without an OTRS ticket.

As far as the info about you, your daughter and your accomplishments, they belong in an article about you, Howard Rehs and Alyssa Rehs assuming either of you pass WP:BIO. However, comings and goings of otherwise WP:NN staff do not belong in an encyclopedia article about the gallery. Toddst1 (talk) 18:34, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
