GOCE Question

[edit]

Hey there TeenAngels1234, I'm copyediting this article as requested at GOCE. Would you mind if I asked a few questions about things I'm unclear about?

  1. A sentence reads "'Rei I' also depicts real existing places, such as Mount Futago", is this supposed to be "Rei II"?
Yeah. Errata corrige.--TeenAngels1234 (talk) 18:04, 8 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Add a short description to the top of the article.
  • Add alt text to every single image being used.
  • Add a serial comma after the first mention of "Shinji and Rei".
  • Add serial commas after "chief animator", "Shikoku", and "Balthazar".
  • "trace in the map" → "trace on the map"
  • Add a comma after "the end of the episode" in #Production and #Themes.
  • "of Minamoto clan" → "of the Minamoto clan"
  • Add a hyphen between "highest rated".
  • Add a serial comma after "Misato, Shinji".
  • WatchMojo is not a reliable source and should not be used.
  • Make sure to translate citations in different languages with "|trans-title=".
  • Ping when done. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 14:40, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Improved to Good Article status by TeenAngels1234 (talk). Self-nominated at 13:07, 21 July 2021 (UTC).[reply]

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
  • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
  • Interesting: Yes
QPQ: None required.

Overall: Plot summary can easily be verified by putting DVD into player. Assuming good faith on sources in languages I can't read or that I otherwise cannot access. Substantially prefer the main hook about "all of the electricity in Japan" to the alternative hook, although both look fine. Could a picture of the space shuttle be used to illustrate the shield Rei uses for the alternative hook (half joking)? No obvious signs of copyright violations. QPQ not required as nominator apparently only has two prior credits. Article was promoted to Good Article status a couple of days before the nomination was made. Easily long enough. Everything appears to be sourced and performing spot checks on the sources shows no obvious deviations. Article covers the episode in relatively neutral terms. Edit: Would suggest changing "female character Rei Ayanami smiles at male protagonist Shinji Ikari" in ALT1 to "the character Rei Ayanami smiles at protagonist Shinji Ikari" as it's unclear how their genders are directly relevant. @HumanBodyPiloter5: Thanks a lot. Well, I specified the genre because then ALT1 says "...the end of her character", since it would not have been clear which of the two characters we were talking about.TeenAngels1234 (talk) 09:39, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, that does make some sense; although I think it's already relatively apparent which character is being referred to since the episode is called Rei II and Rei is the subject of the previous sentence fragment. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 10:40, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
