Neutrality and sourcing issues.
[edit]The recent Nang sock V everyone else edit war brought this article to my attention, it has major MPOV issues, a sample from the lede "discrimination and tyranny" "scot-free lawlessness" "massacre of Shias and genocide of Hazaras are rampantly going on " And this last one is sourced to an editorial, I am under the impression that editorials cannot be used for statements of fact? Darkness Shines (talk) 20:15, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
- I concur "tyranny" "terrible" and "massacres" disgusting pov wording article actually needs to be deleted I may AFD soon 31.54.56.16 (talk) 08:13, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- "And this last one is sourced to an editorial, I am under the impression that editorials cannot be used for statements of fact?" - yes, they cannot be used as statements of facts. Which one is editorial?
- Most of the labels, are these not supported by sources (like Darkness Shines, you so vehemently argued on Talk:Anti-Muslim_pogroms_in_India and the AFD)? Mr T(Talk?) (New thread?) 08:23, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- I am not familiar with anti-muslim pogroms history but Mrt you have been placing tags all over that article and when the same are added to this pov riddled article you show double standards this makes me very annoyed you intentionally added sensationalist pov to this article yet you moan about pov on others this is about minorities in PAKISTAN not the persecution and pogroms of muslims committed in India stick to topic 31.54.56.16 (talk) 08:33, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
Move
[edit]The article is about religious minorities and needs to be moved to Religious minorities in Pakistan. I had done this common sense move but it was reverted for no apparent reason. Darkness Shines (talk) 11:59, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- I think it should cover the ethnic ones too. I found a good source (not that uninsightful Wikipedia article), so stay tuned. 86.121.18.17 (talk) 17:58, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
- Do you mean the Ethnic groups in Pakistan article? Why do we need two articles if they are to have the same content? I have no issue with a section for ethnic groups but we do not want a clone do we. Darkness Shines (talk) 18:35, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
- It will be a section focused on minorities and their relationship with the majority. The other article you mention is sorely lacking in that respect as comparing it with academic sources on the matter easily shows. 86.121.18.17 (talk) 02:23, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
- So this article should still be moved then no? The title should reflect the content and not just one section. Darkness Shines (talk) 08:03, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Chitralis and Kalash
[edit]These are not minorities, but the mainstream Pakistanis. I want mature arguments here, otherwise the repeated inclusion of blatant erroneous content will be reverted. Faizan 13:13, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- What are the ethnic minorities of Pakistan? — Lfdder (talk) 13:18, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- Don't bother to give an edit summary? The text is completely unreferenced, and there is no evidence of being the ethnic minorities. Faizan 13:20, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Citation problem
[edit]The following citation has a URL that leads to a different book on Google books. Either the URL is right, and the rest of the citation is wrong, or the other way round. I have assumed that the URL is wrong, and removed the URL.
- Kosinski, L.A.; Elahi, K.M. (2012). Population Redistribution and Development in South Asia. Springer Science & Business Media. p. 136. ISBN 9780706908374.
I have not checked whether the isbn above is correct. It is for the 2012 edition. The 1985 edition has a different ISBN. I do not know whether the 2012 edition is updated or whether it is a reprint of the 1985 edition.-- Toddy1 (talk) 07:08, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
Deleting of this page
[edit]Although the name of this Wikipedia page is "Minorities in Pakistan", this page contains only """RELIGIOUS"" minorities in Pakistan. The same information about minorities in Pakistan already exists in the Wikipedia pages of Religious discrimination in Pakistan and Human rights in Pakistan. So I think the page needs to be deleted Banksboomer (talk) 13:25, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
