Confusing sentences
[edit]- Some minor renovations have been made to the neighbourhood, however, it is still heavily gentrified and is not one of the most appealing parts of the city.
- However, today the area is somewhat stable but is nowhere near the crime wave that hit the area in the late 80’s and early 90’s where the neighbourhood was notorious for gun violence and drug trafficking.
If I knew anything about the place, I'd try to fix 'em myself, but I don't. Bobby P. Smith Sr. Jr. 05:04, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
The following is also somewhat confusing:
- "Most people in the neighbourhood live under the poverty line..."
From the wording of the article it is unclear as to whether the above statement is referring to the Rideau View area in general, or merely to the low-income housing project which occupies only a section of the neighborhood. If the latter, then the statement is true. If the former, then it is not. Most people in the Debra housing project do live under the poverty line. These people, however, make up a minority of the population of the entire Rideau View neighborhood as a whole.
The Rideauview neighborhood is a bit unusual in its layout, as there is a low-income, government subsided housing development located right in the middle of, and surrounded on all sides by, middle-class homes and apartment complexes.
Most people in the Rideauview neighborhood do not live under the poverty line. Most people who live within the housing project located within the Rideauview neighborhood do. The wording of the article appears confusing on this point. 99.246.30.42 (talk) 17:19, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
