Recent Development
[edit]It seemed that information about recent development in the city is missing, such as getting a brewery, Koi Pond, as well as more developments at the Mill area. http://www.rockymounttelegram.com/News/2018/01/04/Koi-Pond-to-mark-second-anniversary.html --Johnsonjr9 (talk) 20:07, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- That seems like advertising to me. Toddst1 (talk) 23:25, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
History
[edit]The history section of the article was lifted directly off the city government's website. In the process now of adding more historical sources and information per WP:RS. Please feel free to add anything else if you feel so inclined! Thanks, — aegreen (talk • email) 16:43, 3 April 2019 (UTC) 16:43, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

Notability of a Faithless Elector
[edit]@Washuotaku: Hello- I saw your revert a second ago. Thanks for watching out for bad edits and spurious inclusions of unimportant persons. However, I would like to ask if you think Lloyd W. Bailey doesn't meet Wikipedia:Notability. If he doesn't meet the requisite notability to have a Wikipedia page, then let's delete that page. If he does meet that threshold for notability, then is there another level of notability that you have to reach to be included in a 'notable people' section? I'm not clear if there is or is not another level of standards/rules for 'notable people' sections. Thanks for any help here. Geographyinitiative (talk) 19:51, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not invested in the outcome here- if we need to make Bailey into a footnote on another page, that's fine with me. One thing- all of the faithless electors who were the only one in their election (since 1948) have his/her own Wikipedia page: see Faithless elector. - Did you notice that your entry was the only unsourced one? I've cleaned up after you. Please do better. Toddst1 (talk) 01:09, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Toddst1: As a matter of fact, I did not notice it. I have never seen a situation were a notable persons list needed a source for every entry. This is my first time seeing this kind of situation. Try to be patient with other users. Geographyinitiative (talk) 01:50, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- The Notable people section, in the past, had issues of people listed that had little relation to the city, had no Wikipedia article, or was simply a non-notable person. @Geographyinitiative: the reason I pulled Lloyd W. Bailey, was not the fact I do believe that nobody cares about who the electors are let alone faithless electors, but because when I checked the article it had a big flag saying the topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for biographies; it raised questions like was this a legit article. It appears it has been cleaned up and improved upon since my earlier visit and I am fine with that. --WashuOtaku (talk) 02:31, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
