"Early lfe" section
[edit]The second paragraph states that Smith "was educated at the University of Arizona at Tucson on a football scholarship."
To me, "educated at" means that he went to the UofA either all four years -- freshman through senior -- or for at least two or three years.
According to the yearbooks I have (which are my father's and who was there from 1950-60 and got his Bachelor, Master, and PH.D. degrees), Smith was at the UofA for only his freshman year. He was on the "Frosh Football" team, was a member of "Sigma Alpha Epsilon," and lived on campus in the "East Stadium" dorm rooms.
Since he's only listed, and appears, in the 1951 "The Desert" yearbook, I think a more accurate statement would be that "he attended the University of Arizona in Tucson for one year on a football scholarship."
I did not want to make any changes in the entry/article itself at this time so as to not upset anyone given that he just died.
But I think this should eventually be addressed. 2600:8800:787:F500:C23F:D5FF:FEC5:89B6 (talk) 06:43, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
