Despite the usage, over 300,000 people used the station as an interchange. Can this be explained? Simply south 14:55, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Where did you get that number from? It's not that I think it's wrong, but can we cite it? The station's ticket sales will be out of kilter because the 100,000-odd figure is only for tickets starting or ending at Pier Head. The fact that through tickets to (for the sake of argument) Fratton don't get counted is neither here nor there - they still had to get off the train here as it doesn't go any further! --Peeky44 (talk) 01:13, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- MMM, from a ticketing point of view the ferry service can be considered part of the rail system (that is you can buy tickets from island line stations to/from mainland stations). It would be interesting to know how many tickets are sold between island line stations and mainland stations. i'm sure that data must be in some DB somewhere but I doubt it's published. - Hmm, the office of rail regulation statistics does in fact have an interchanges column, more research needed here I think.... Plugwash (talk) 09:31, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
