Paging Dr. Bombay

[edit]

I wouldn't consider a wartime British source exactly reliable in reporting on a U-boat attack... Was Portugal marked as a hospital ship? Was she lit correcly? And what do the Germans say? Otherwise, it's entirely Brit POV. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 23:35, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

History slanted

[edit]

This U-boat fought through the entire war and sunk an incredible number of ships (more than 80), but the history mentions only two controversial incidents. Surely it should be more balanced? I'd like to read more of a summary of the four years of action. Was it some kind of record to sink 80 ships?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Newzild (talkcontribs) 23:37, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

According to the List of successful U-boats, U-33 is the fifth-most successful German submarine in WWI. If you want more information on individual ships, feel free to add it, the relevant sources are all there. ÄDA - DÄP VA (talk) 18:09, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ERB's U-33

Isn't "U-33" the sub they travel on in Edgar Rice Burroughs "The Land That Time Forgot"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.119.204.117 (talk) 04:11, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
