Recent Developments - April 2014

I completely reconfigured the page over the last few weeks. The page is now better organized, more concise, and more up-to-date. I've uploaded and saved many photos to Wikimedia Commons, under Saint Joseph's University. I also condensed the links so that each reference now has a title. This allows the same reference to be used multiple times without cluttering the reference list.

However, there are errors all over the page. I feel like I've caught many of the spelling and grammar errors, but it's difficult to know for sure without more eyes on the page.

Wikipedia is increasingly an important way for people to gain information. A poor or uninformative Wikipedia page reflects poorly on the University.

Online Program external link

BillyAdams1989 keeps wanting to add the SJU Online Program external links to this article. I have left a message on their talk page, and advised them of the problem and that they are edit-warring. The link doesn't belong per WP:EL. Corkythehornetfan 22:05, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

Noted. Thanks for the clarification! — Preceding unsigned comment added by BillyAdams1989 (talkcontribs) 22:16, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

– St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn/Patchogue, New York is now a University (See www.sjcny.edu) While theoretically, it could be renamed to St. Joseph's University overwriting the redirect to the Pennsylvania school, I think that is *very* confusing. I'd much rather have a dab page at Saint Joseph's University (and a redirect to *that* at St. Joseph University as well as a redirect at Saint Joseph's University (New York). I'm very much open to other possible solutions, I'd just like to see it in once place to give a good result when finished. Naraht (talk) 18:05, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

  • Oppose. The New York school is actually named "St. Joseph's University, New York" [2], and should be titled as such per WP:NDAB. The hat note on this page is sufficient to point readers there. Calidum 18:31, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
  • Approve I completely agree. There should be a marker of distinction each time two things share the same name.GeorgeBailey (talk) 19:55, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
  • Oppose the hat note is sufficient for now, especially because any renames are theoretical. SportingFlyer T·C 15:17, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
