The Book of Saints, compiled by the Benedictines of St Augustine’s, Ramsgate, identifies Saint Veep with a ‘V’ for virgin. I doubt if they are particularly certain of this as the most confident claim in the short article runs ‘nothing is now in fact remembered of St. Veep’s life.’ As neither of the sources listed in the article identify the saint’s sex, I have removed the word ‘he’ and left the sex unstated. —Ian Spackman (talk) 18:00, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
