You do realize it makes absolutely no sense that Cassidy would survive being shot with the Saint's guns when they kill God and the Devil without problem. He's undead, not omnipotent. That being the case, the subject has often come under discussion in the Comic Book Rumbles board ( http://forums.comicbookresources.com/forumdisplay.php?f=25 ) and in one of these discussions, a few years ago, it came up that Ennis had given an interview where he explained his mistake, so that it makes sense. That wasn't The Saint of Killers, that was a personification of death. Hitman issues 8 and 42 show this character, the only similarity being they both wear wide-brimmed hats. The character Ringo shoots him three times, and he just laughs it off, can you imagine The Saint doing that? And when Ringo dies, he offers Ringo's spirit a job. Deleted the section where it said he had a cameo in that series.
