On notability: Sally Floyd is the leading expert on Internet congestion control. According to Citeseer, as of Feb 2010, she's the 21st most cited author of all time in Computer Science, more cited than all the Turing Award winners (the Turing Award is the computer science equivalent of the Nobel Prize).
