It is not clear if Joaquim Puig was actually executed.

Edit war[edit]

For avoid an edition war, i'd be thinking. We can add "his was born in Barcelona, Catalonia" and remain his nationality. So it's clear the region and country he was. Some suggestions?. Really, i don't want get in an edition war with others users. --Ravave (talk) 15:14, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

I've fully protected the article for 3 days so you and User:CristofolR can work out your dispute. Obviously, any other editors can feel free to express their own views on the content issue. If you can't work it out, use one of the methods of dispute resolution.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:00, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

  • Although Catalonia has an own government (Spain is a country decentralized, and every region has its own goverment), that's doesn't means nothing. We doesn't confuse nationality with ideology. Even he was a catalanist nationalist, his native country was Spain in these days and nowadays, since his born to his death. Even most of references says his Catalonian, i'd be found these they say is Spanish: --Ravave (talk) 16:54, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

The protection is over. ChristofolR, i've waiting for you in the talk page but you don't appear, i'll be wait one day more, if you don't have nothing to say, i'll change the first paragraph. Now i have references and this time isn't edition war be worth. --Ravave (talk) 07:20, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

Spanish anarchist is still not correct regardless of the dispute of nationality, he was a Catalan anarchist because his political motives were that of Catalan not Spanish, it gives off the wrong impression by all means state that he was a Spaniard for now I have added 'Spain' after his city of birth if you think stating that he was Spanish *and* a Catalan anarchist is acceptable then fine if that works then do that but 'Spanish anarchist' he was not, adding Spanish makes it sound like his political motivation. Surely you can see where I am coming from on this? That is what I mean when I say the sources you provide describe him as Catalan, they are referring to political preferences, Spanish anarchist just does not look right, you even go onto say yourself that he was part of a Catalan political movement. If it is all the same thing then surely it should say Spanish political movement? No, because you are talking specifically about politics and that works the same when stating what kind of anarchist somebody was. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CristofolR (talkcontribs) 00:57, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

His political issues doesn't has to see, although he was a Catalonian anarchist. Liked him or not, he didn't denie where is from. Wikipedia no should allow political editions despite his prefereces. Well, if you prefer, i cant write this: "Salvador Puig Antich (30 May, 1948 in Barcelona, Catalonia - 2 March, 1974 Barcelona, Catalonia) was a Spanish anarchist". So everything is clear (city, region) nationality, an that's enough, with contained references. --Ravave (talk) 06:34, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

For now I will agree to your compromise however I am sure you are aware of the current situation in Catalunya/Madrid if we become independent I'll be back haha ;) I did not mean to cause you any issues, the truth is neither Catalan or Spanish is incorrect I just saw it is making more sense one way, you see it another.— Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 14:58, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Well, so do you prefer?. I know the Spanish vs Catalonian situation, and the poor economy too. The legal status says meanwhile Catalonian is from Spain, the law rules, Quebec is Canadian altough there's an independentism movement too. When Catalonia get its "independence" of its nation, then you can makes changes, OK?. Also isn't incorrect write the both, what's the problem?. In Spanish Wikipedia when i write articles about biographies, i add first the city and the province or región between parentheses and later his nationality (by the moment) of iure, meanwhile Catalonian should of facto. --Ravave (talk) 10:17, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
Look, i'd be thinking about to "Spanish or Catalonian" isnt correct at all. Frecuentally the anarchists says Sin Dios, ni patria, ni ley (No God, neither fatherland and not law). I don't see logic that him were a catalonian nationalist, due that the anarchist are against to states. Maybe can remove the region and the nation and leave it [just] in anarchist. --Ravave (talk) 08:19, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

This user doesn't appear in long time, can i make this edition?: Salvador Puig Antich was an anarchist born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. I'll be waiting 3 days, if nobodys answers, i'll make changes. --Ravave (talk) 17:01, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
