Santa Fe dispatching office

[edit]

I remember seeing a railfan video about 15 years ago (I think it was the Cajon Pass tape from either Pentrex or Video Rails) that visited the Santa Fe's dispatching office that was once on an upper floor of this building. The dispatcher in this building was primarily responsible for tracks between here and at least Victorville; basically it covered the entire Cajon Pass territory and not much else. I think all the dispatching duties have since moved to Fort Worth where BNSF is now headquartered, but I'll see if I can find that video again for more information. Union Station (San Bernardino)

[edit]

The Station is a Union Station for The Inland Empire, The Artical should br renamed Salcan (talk) 23:03, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The current consensus is from the Wikipedia:WikiProject Stations and Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains talk pages is that Amtrak stations articles are to generally be named "xxxx (Amtrak station)" with certain exceptions (ie Pennsylvania Station (Baltimore). I wouldn't be opposed to a rename, especially since Amtrak is only a small part of the operations at this station. --Oakshade (talk) 02:32, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
the actual station name of this station is the Santa Fe depot. i was thinking of changing the name to: Santa Fe Depot(San Bernardino). since the actual name is santa fe depot. there is a placard outside this building dedicating it as santa fe depot, i will change it to this unless someone is opposed. should it be moved to santa fe depot(san bernardino)

[edit]

since this is the original name of the depot is santa fe depot, wouldn't it be more appropriate to have it named santa fe depot instead of san bernardino amtrak station? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Javiern (talkcontribs) 22:33, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do it. ...Except that you should use the shift button to get capital letters where appropriate. :P Binksternet (talk) 02:32, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
