merge with i-405

[edit]

I think we should keep this merge to I-405. Most of this article contains infos of I-405, we want to avoid control cities and list of cities. We have too little infos of I-5.--Freewayguy 04:38, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. San Diego Freeway should be a disambig page that redirects to I-405 and I-5 in California. No reason to duplicate the information from all of 405 and part of 5 on this article. Gateman1997 (talk) 01:00, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And also Control Cities is something we want to try to avoid specific details. The whole portion of I-405 is San Diego Fwy both Los Angeles and Orange County, at Sotuh Orange County it becomes a 5. But still no purpose to have a article is superflow. Golden State Fwy only contains I-5 from East LA inter. to SR 99, but the info is long enough to keep it a seperate page.--Freewayguy 22:50, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gateman wants a disambig page, Freewayguy wants to merge. I think we should keep the status quo. A disambiguation page isn't exactly user friendly, there's nothing wrong with duplicating information, as long as it is not contradictory. A merge requires considerable effort to ensure that no information is deleted, I don't think it's a good idea. -Synchronism (talk) 05:22, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To be honest, the article should be turned into a disambig page. There is no info worth saving on this page. Most of it is lists and should not exist (per WP:USRD) and the rest is duplicated. --Rschen7754 (T C) 06:24, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I recognize that there is superfluousness. Disambiguation can be done nicely I guess, and it's more honest than merging.Synchronism (talk) 07:36, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
