- girls ready for love does this mean those of eligible marrying age, or some sort of divinely determined time in which the girls are ready to love?
- I suspect it means girls who have entered puberty, but this isn't actually clear in the source; "girls ready for love" is a direct quote. Perhaps it's more idiomatic in the original Italian.
