Expanding

[edit]

OK I have sketched out the entry. It was starting to look like Satanus needed an entry on him but this approach means we can draw in his mother and clone as well as other dinosaur series and so it made more sense to go down this route. The various sections need fleshig out (no pun intended) with more details of their part in the various storylines. (Emperor 23:12, 5 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Hmm...

[edit]

I'm not really sure that the subject "Dinosaurs in 2000ad" is really encyclopedic enough to warrant a wikipedia article, any more than "Robots in 2000ad" or "Alien in 2000ad" would be, and it strays into the territory of fancruft. I would suggest dropping the XTNCT stuff and moving most of it to an article on Satanus instead. Artw 18:26, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fine by me. (Emperor 18:48, 31 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Memories of past life - intentional or not ?

[edit]

It's a very long time since I read the "Cursed Earth" saga in which Satanus first appeared.
However, I do remember a factor that even then stood out as *wrong*.
The Satanus clone - living in the 21st century - *remembered in detail* the life lived by the original Satanus in the Cretaceous Era, including remembering the experience of dying...

Was this:

  • a misunderstanding of cloning ?
  • a *deliberate* misunderstanding used for the dramatic effect of emphasising parallels in the two lives ?
  • a clue that something other than simple cloning had occured, intended to open the way for later plot lines  ?

Merge

[edit]

On was started a year ago from an identical article but the discussion was never started. As the articles were on the same topic and covered the same ground I turned into a redirect. The last version is here if you see anything you want to include here. (Emperor (talk) 00:32, 7 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]
