Importance

[edit]

I figure that any 145,530.92 hectares (562 sq mi) place in Tamil Nadu which is home to at least 46 tigers and 850 elephants is not of low importance.-Marcus334 (talk) 07:00, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great work on the article. I was looking around for maps of the ranges as you asked. The br hills ranges map was based on the map that was made available on the India BIodiversity Portal, but they do not have a similar one for Sathyamangalam. I tried looking for any maps in publications, but couldnt find any. If you find any place where there is a map, I can then make a similar map, but presently, I dont know the demarcations between the ranges. prashanthns (talk) 03:22, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Prashanthns
Recently published article at https://india.mongabay.com/2022/05/celebrating-tiger-numbers-in-sathyamangalam-tiger-reserve-while-tribal-residents-await-their-rights/ has the map of all ranges in both Sathyamangalam amd Hasanur forest divisions of of Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve. 22mukil (talk) 04:39, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Better to delete this article. Since the article with exact name Sathyamangalam Wildlife Sanctuary exists and this article has a spelling mistake of double ll.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prodrdt (talkcontribs) 17:31, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Protected Area

[edit]

While correcting a spelling error, I noticed that the article uses Template:Infobox settlement. This raised a question as to why the article is not headed by Template:Infobox protected area, since it is clearly reported as a 'protected area' in the first sentence. Am I missing something here?
