At the start of the pandemic in March 2020, Satyan realised that the Musicians of the stage Light music fraternity are suffering as they have lost their livelihood. While Over 6000 families across Tamilnadu were struggling to meet ends, Satyan started singing in facebook lives to raise funds for these musicians for over 130 days. On May 30-31 Satyan sang for over 25 hours continuously to raise funds. He raised over 24 lakhs for the needy musicians. His fb live fundaraising performances are termed as SatyanUtsav-Music4musicians. Satyan also encouraged orchestras to send their recordings from different parts of TamilNadu, which was relayed in his FB live and he fetched sponsorships and funds to 14 teams directly, thus creating a way for livelihood for them , which was named as We4Us as part of SatyaUtsav. Satyan also did special musical Facebook lives to raise funds for individual musicians to help them in child education and medical emergencies. In January 2021, Satyam received ‘Alert Being Award’ as Covid Warrior by Alert- NGO for his selfless contribution to fellow musicians during the pandemic. His Facebook live music sessions not only supported musicians but also proved to be stress burster for lakhs of people around the world during the lockdown.
