This article seems composed entirely of laudatory comments passing for biography and uninformative 'reviews' as bibliography. I haven't been able to find any evidence supporting the claims of the reviews and the works described certainly don't have the authority ascribed to them. Proposing to delete all of these reviews.

The article has indeed been cleaned up, but could do with a potted biog from a more neutral point of view, and a select bibliography. The original biography stated without elaboration that Rai Chowdhuri's wife was a Bengali writer. Perhaps we could have a bibliography for her too? His contributions to and connections with Hindustani classical music (at present deleted) should stay, I think, but suitably cleaned up. Also dates and places are important: were the musical collaborations in Bangladesh, East Pakistan, or West Bengal? If you look at past versions of this page you will see that many important facts were left out or muddled up. I would prefer to have them cleaned up, referenced and NPOV-ed rather than simply deleted. -- Rimi10:27, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
