Merge

I propose merging this video game article, seeing as it's only just being announced. There is simply not enough information to warrent it's own article (see WP:NOT and WP:CRYSTALBALL). When more information is released, the article can then be recreated.--EclipseSSD (talk) 16:56, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

*Oppose: more information should be forthcoming shortly from the GDC. there was also some indication that it might release this october rather than in 2009. on an related note, your move was unconstructive. the game is called "Saw: The Videogame". xenocidic (talk) 16:59, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
That's not necessarily true. Since the game was only just announced, the title could be subject to change. I think it's the best title for now until the official title is released, which could be either one or the other. Unless the title has been 100% confirmed, then I see no reason why it should remain. It could also be called "Saw: The Video Game" (without spaces), which is what most of the gaming sites are saying, apart from a few, such as IGN. Also, referring to the release date, it clearly says in that link scheduled for release in October 2009. To backup all your claims, relying on one source is not really enough. You need more references to back up your statements.--EclipseSSD (talk) 19:29, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Support k, it's done, for now. if any more info does come out of GDC, i'm going to revert and enhance. xenocidic (talk) 19:40, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Title

About the title, IGN, Gamespot, Konami, Brash, and so many other companies list it as simply Saw. Therefore, I think we should move the article to Saw (2009 game) or something similar. Anyone agree or disagree? GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 08:31, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

I agree  ViperBlade Talk!! 16:56, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Poster

Why hasn't the game poster be added yet rather than the Saw logo? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.69.48.111 (talk) 21:42, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

If you could provide a link for the poster I will add it. GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 00:33, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Problem solved, poster added. GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 05:47, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

I think the article's title should have the "G" in game capitalized, like in Ghostbusters: The Video Game, and Lego Batman: The Video Game. --EclipseSSD (talk) 15:12, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

I definitely agree. It looks odd with all but one of the first letters capitalized. --HELLØ ŦHERE 16:22, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
I believe Brash Entertainment presently calls it a "videogame" so Saw: The Videogame might be a better move target. I would guess closer to launch there will be an actual name with a proper subtitle. –xeno (talk) 15:57, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Support: The official title of the game is "Saw: The Video Game". It would be appropriate to lowercase the 'g' if it were "Saw (video game)", but that is not the case. -- TRTX T / C 16:22, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
    • Source? –xeno (talk) 16:57, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
    • My mistake. It should be "If the official title...". But regardless the current title is not cased properly. -- TRTX T / C 16:00, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Support the current title has inconsistent capitalisation and needs changing soon. Move it again after release if the release title turns out to be different. --Rogerb67 (talk) 20:22, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Moved it to Saw: The Videogame - this is the original title I created it with, and the most "official" we have so far. (See Brash Entertainment website). –xeno (talk) 13:23, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Platforms

I am not sure that this game will appear on the Wii, as no one else seems to have confirmed it. Can someone please add a ref stating that this gmae will be released on the wii? —Preceding unsigned comment added by The Editor 155 (talkcontribs) 14:18, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

As of Apr12, the game is not coming out on the Wii. If anything changes I'll post it. GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 05:46, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

I also wonder if SaW is going to be distributed in Steam? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.4.34.68 (talk) 00:06, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

As I'm not familiar with Steam, I wouldn't know. Since Saw is not being developed by Valve (the makers of steam), it don't think it will. However, the PC version of Saw will only be downloadable, so Steam would make sense. I will try to try to find a better answer. GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 05:56, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Mark Hoffman and Amanda Young

In the recently released 2nd trailer ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi70TGtovAE ), can anybody confirm that at around 50-60 seconds into the trailer if the woman seen is Amanda Young? 1) The game takes place during Saw and Saw II, so she's still alive then 2) Her hair is the same EXACT style as after Saw and During II (as revealed by Saw III, the flashback where she brings adam to the bathroom trap) 3) She is wearing the same red shirt and dark pants she was wearing later in Saw III And, I believe am sure that the person in the pigmask is Hoffman. because: 1) It was revealed in Saw V that Hoffman has been Jigsaw's apprentice longer than Amanda and would be during the game 2) He's Jigsaws only other apprentice that isn't Obi (Doubtful that it's him) So, I just need some confirmation to these claims to put them into the article. Anyone know any sites confirming this? (Sorry to nerd out by the way) GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 06:25, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
