You bury the lede when you inform me that it is a pastry in the third sentence.

I really wonder who wrote this article, it manages to get almost everything about the subject wrong. The idea that the dough for Schnecken contains sour cream is false. There is a type of Schnecke that is FILLED with quark, which may be mistaken for sour cream, but that's about it. Sour cream is almost unknown in Germany. As is Rugelach. The descriptions how Schencken are made is wrong as well. I think this should be either deleted or rewritten from scratch.
