Last recording?

[edit]

I've seen at least 5 recordings that claim to be his last, and recorded just a week before his death. Does anybody know which one actually is? A summary of his official recordings would be nice, as there's only about three. I'll look into it myself, but any help is appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gnominator (talkcontribs) 22:45, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think you're referring to the fact that the different albums in question (and the reissues) all originate from the same June 25, 1961 recording session, namely Sunday at the Village Vanguard and Waltz for Debby. —Viriditas | Talk 23:39, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, that would explain it, yeah. Thanks.
There are also some recordings of his performances at the Newport Festival, recorded sometime during the 10 days in between the Vanguard performances and his passing away, though these are pretty rare recordings I believe.
