Fair use rationale for Image:Selex logo.gif

[edit]

Image:Selex logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

To much mamangement text, too little history provided.

[edit]

The article should explain that Selex company is essentially equal to the result of GEC + Marconi + Ferranti, which were famous military-industrial companies of the Cold War period. 87.97.52.224 (talk) 22:21, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Selex ES

[edit]

It's that time of year again...Selex Galileo and a number of sister companies have, from 1st January 2013, merged to form Selex ES. I'm guessing this page will need to be moved to Selex ES? NotMiserable (talk) 23:12, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Might be better creating a new article for Selex ES? Letdorf (talk) 20:22, 3 April 2013 (UTC).[reply]

I updated the names in the article and was about to move it from "SELEX Galileo" to "Selex ES" (which currently redirects to the existing article) before I saw this discussion. I'm postponing the move for a couple of days to allow anybody tracking the article/talk page to add comments/objections (especially since I've never done a move before, erring on the side caution). Article title

[edit]

The official name of both the Italian and UK companies is "Selex ES", (Selex ES S.p.A and Selex ES Ltd. respectively, to be precise) not "Selex Electronic Systems". Per WP:NCCORP, shouldn't the article title reflect the actual name of the company in common usage? Letdorf (talk) 23:04, 19 June 2013 (UTC).[reply]
