Work needed
[edit]I've just removed a host of inappropriate categories - he's not a work of art, nor, being born in the 1960s, can he be classed as a modernist. The article needs a great deal of work - even just a glance reveals the bizarre use of preposterous (is this meant in the Shakespearean sense?!?) and so many other issues it's difficult to know where to begin! Negative Reviews
[edit]The quotation of these reviews has no scientific importance, since they just recall the opinion of two journalists. I found the artist also in publications like "501 Great Artists", by Farthing, Stephen (EDT) and Dyer, Geoff (FRW), Barrons Educational Series Inc (2008/10), or in "The Pre-Occupation of. Postcolonial Studies", by Afzal-Khan, Fawzia, and Kalpana Seshadri-Crooks, eds., Durham, nc: Duke University Press, 2000. Besides he is reviewed in "Kritische Berichte", Hildesheim/Germany, or in "Kunstforum International", "Bidoun", "Umelec", Prague and "Flash Art International", "Artasiapacific", etc. So, please, keep the scientific approach in that page.

- I've removed the 'Negative Reviews' section heading as unduly POV. The reviews look negative to me, but calling them negative in the article is an evaluation of the sources, rather than a presentation of the sources.--Ethicoaestheticist (talk) 21:10, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- I've also rephrased the L Magazine review, because the criticism was of several pieces in the show. The New York Times specifically makes a judgement about Entekhabi's work, so that should stay.--Ethicoaestheticist (talk) 21:24, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- I DON'T SEE THIS NECESSITY! if we leave the The New York Times comment why we don't have to keep the new one. it looks like some one try to keep it as it was, <i tried to give the article an relevant art historian structure but all the comment and changes are like it is not good enough for me without any specific reason. Nikita-von-rebeck (talk) 13:20, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
- I have removed a subjective and biased insertion by jigsawnovich who quoted her own article in support of her assertion. It is like saying: "He is good because... I said so!" I have removed the biased passage based on the original article itself: http://www.persianesquemagazine.com/2009/07/20/contemporary-art-iran-inside-out/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by FirouzFirouz (talk • contribs) 05:38, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- Rather than arguing about this or that review, perhaps attention should be directed to adding sources confirming that the artist is notable enough for an encyclopedia article in the first place.--Ethicoaestheticist (talk) 23:07, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]The old "This article may not meet the general notability guideline" from 2007, should be removed. Nikita-von-rebeck (talk) 11:58, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- Why?--Ethicoaestheticist (talk) 23:51, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- Because this is almost 3 years ago and several editor worked on it! Farhangnama (talk) 17:07, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Having evaluated the sources currently provided by the article, I've just restored the tag, as per Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Creative professionals. Looks like there might be some sources in the list above here. If any establish notability, they could be added to the article and the tag removed. The ones there at the moment don't suffice. • DP • {huh?} 15:46, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
