Forbes Magazine Article
[edit]The Forbes Magazine article, even three years old, is relevant to the Shelby, North Carolina article. Being that Forbes Magazine is a national magazine it can offer a third party unbiased study of the Shelby, North Carolina. Let's not whitewash the Shelby, North Carolina article. --Damen8343 (talk) 19:47, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Blood Done Sign My Name
[edit]My Request is to Remove Blood Done Sign My Name from the Shelby Site.
It is advertising.
I understand it only states the movie Blood Done Sign My Name was filmed in Shelby.
But that’s promoting the film. It’s giving recognition and credit to the author and screenwriters' work.
(they advertise it as a true story.)
Tyson claims to be an Historian and a research scholar, Historians do not make these types of mistakes. You don’t embellish someone as being a Vietnam Veteran when they never served in Vietnam.
It's very clear to me when I read Vietnam Veteran on the back of the DVD and the book.
It clearly states Vietnam War Vet on the DVD and the back of the book Vietnam Veteran.
( The DVD is pictured on P.O.W. site. where anyone can clearly read Vietnam Veteran.)
Amazon is advertising Vietnam Veteran. http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Done-Sign-My-Name/dp/B003Y6JZE4
The P.O.W. network would not publish Henry Marrow as never severing in Vietnam without proof. They have access to Military records.
The public has the right to know the author and the screenwriter are misleading the public and profiting from it at the same time?
The P.O.W. network is a reliable source, the Freedom of information Act is a reliable source. The P.O.W website states Henry Marrow never served in Vietnam
and had a dishonorable discharge that is reliable.
The P.O.W. network is showing some of the places of false advertising.
go to http://www.pownetwork.org/ The Blue section, Click on Heroes or Villains Fake Warrior Project.
at the top of The Epidemic of Military Imposters page click on names.
On The Fake Warrior page,
The Every other possible Military Claim section chick on M1 and scroll to Henry Marrow.
Anywhere Timothy Tyson or Jeb Stuart are advertising
Blood Done Sign My Name should be removed or the public has the right to know they are lying about someone's military status.
My edit stating false advertising should be allowed or
remove Blood Done Sign My Name from the Shelby's Wiki. page.
I'm trying to look at this from a neutral standpoint. Anyone publishing lies about someone's military status is un-acceptable and disrespectiful to the military.Nonconnah77 (talk) 02:44, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- I reverted your edit taking out the mention of Blood Done Sign My Name and added it back in with a cite. It was silly and egregious POV-pushing to take this out. Calling it a "non credible book" as you did in the edit summary was irrelevant, anyway. Regardless of what you think of the book or Timothy Tyson, the fact that the adaptation was filmed here is notable to mention. Also, to answer your rant above, it is not "advertising" to state that something was filmed here. Your efforts to expunge all mention of the book/movie and adding little jabs at Tyson and various people associated with the movie across Wikipedia is extremely bad faith and inappropriate for Wikipedia's neutrality standpoint. Your opinion of what is wrong with the book or what it says about Marrow is absolutely unnecessary to mention in this article. Thank you. -- JoannaSerah (talk) 19:02, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
