Comment[edit]

Someone moved this to "Achuar-Shiwiar language," and changed the contents to state that this is a language spoken by Achuar. This was done without any explanation. Moreover, the change was unjustified. There is a distinct ethnic group residing in Ecuador that speaks as their natal language Shiwiar. This language is historically the result of a mingling of Achuar and Quichua, but it is a distinct language spoken by a distinct group, not Achuar. I need to correct the above. Shiwiar is an ethnic group that speaks a dialect of Achuar. (Although many are multilingual, Quecua or Quecua and Spanish) But there is another ethnic group called "Achuar" and they are not the same. Slrubenstein | Talk 22:06, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to add a section for information on the Achuar people who speak the Shiwiar language. Arc011101 (talk) 06:27, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
