Borderline

[edit]

@Cbl62: I feel like it's currently borderline start/C. Do you think there's anything else that could be added? Maybe there's some stuff in the copyvio version that was reverted four times that can be used. Lizard (talk) 07:50, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Undoubtedly, there is more that can be added from additional reliable sources. My initial goal was to take this article out of the "stub" category. We really ought not have HOF members with "stub" article. Moreover, the stuff that was previously reverted (and edit warred back on multiple occasions) is largely a copy paste of the preface of a self published book written by Ray's grandson. The grandson's book was written with an admitted POV to restore the grandfather's "proper place" in football history. As I am unclear on the reliability of the source, I opted simply to make reference to the book and cite/link the grandson's website. Cbl62 (talk) 14:25, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well, fortunately I seemed to have escaped the wrath of their lawyers. Thank goodness for that. Lizard (talk) 15:15, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That type of legal threat is inappropriate. Cbl62 (talk) 15:53, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't take it seriously, obviously. I'd have to imagine any lawyer worth his salt would first look into Wikipedia's terms of use and see that their client is the one in the wrong. Lizard (talk) 16:26, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
