There are references to various dynasties. Can we add approximate years for these for context? RJFJR (talk) 19:45, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Developmets[edit]

The section contains a vague reference to the history of science in China, but not quite demonstrates the place of the Six Arts in it. I guess it needs to be improved. NB Six Arts was the educational term first of all. --Shanghainese.ua (talk) 10:57, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction[edit]

This article states that: "The Six Arts have their roots in the Confucian philosophy." However, the page on Confucius, which links to this page, states that he (Confucius), in his early life, "was educated at schools for commoners, where he studied and learned the Six Arts." This is, obviously, contradictory. I am no specialist in Chinese history, so I hope someone with more aptitude and knowledge is this field is willing to clarify this and adjust the article accordingly when and if needed?
