There is no real literature out there that has this label, just a couple of web sites. It seems try to capitalize on the shock value of the word "ignorance", which is just "not knowing". Well, there is a well-known field called Sociology of scientific knowledge. I would suggest renaming this and integrating it into the larger article under the better known title. While I think Meclee's suggestion is one good way of accounting for the focus on ignorance in science, if Wikipedians decide to keep this article, I'd like to suggest adding Stuart Firestein's book Ignorance: How It Drives Science. Amnot Areso (talk) 17:58, 12 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
