Release date[edit]

I also thought that 2020 was a bit odd of a release date, but it's also listed here. @Lordtobi: Should we list it or no? We could say the release date is unknown, but has been advertised as 2020 for <insert reason here>. Anarchyte (work | talk) 10:59, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The website is put in accordance with the Steam page (the developers have control over both, obviously), and this is an obvious joke as no company in the world would ever schedule a game four years into the future (the joke presisted since later last year). The game was actually originally announced for a 2016 release (in sources), so we should put that, but nothing else I think, as 2016 has already passed. The first mentioned was with the release of the trailer in 2015, although most sources picked it up when Devolver re-released that trailer a couple months later, and announced the release that "this year" with it. @Anarchyte: On Devolver's press site, I found two images to represent the game: 1, the logo and 2, a mock-up cover art (dubbed "key art"). Now, since SAM (like its predecessor) is unlikely to receive a physical release, should we use the logo instead of the cover art; or would the cover art give a better representation? Another aspect would be if it should be aligned to Always Sometimes Monsters, which also just uses the logo. If we decide to the cover, we could change it for both games as they have high-res covers available at their respective store sites ("open image in new tab" -> remove "?format=500w" from URL). Hey Lordtobi. I typically opt for logos over cover art, though it's usually up to article-by-article user discretion. I don't think we should use mock-up cover art simply because it's probably not finalized and will be updated later, at least with the logo we've got a definite image. The cover art is just the logo with a bit of a background. Having that bit of background doesn't add anything except unnecessary space in the infobox. IMO infobox images should be somewhat discrete. I think we should go for the plain logo, and it'll be consistent with the other game's article. Cheers, Anarchyte (work | talk) 12:16, 18 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
