Misleading station marker at google maps.

[edit]

I have posted the coords for this station as 41°05′45″N 73°25′19″W / 41.09570°N 73.42185°W / 41.09570; -73.42185 (South Norwalk Station) since the two station buildings are southwest of the Monroe Street underpass. Unfortunately, the people at google maps have placed a "South Norwalk" station icon on their map page to the northeast of the Monroe Street underpass. Northeast of the underpass has no train platform, rather to the north is an apartment complex and to the east is the main Norwalk police building. But there is no train station at the location that google maps has erroneously labelled. Persons using maps at google are encouraged to switch to the satellite photos and zoom in close to see where the station is (at the coords I have listed). The New York bound station building is incorporated into the large parking garage building. I hope that information helps to more accurately locate the station. 67.86.73.252 (talk) 23:43, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

parking info

[edit]

Please add more parking information. Does one have to have a permit? If there is meter parking, how much does it cost? Is there usually space if one arrives in the middle of the day? Is there a number to call for parking information? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skysong263 (talkcontribs) 05:09, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Track map

[edit]

@Epicgenius: For an article like this station, which has an interesting and somewhat complicated track layout, it might be helpful to have a track diagram. If you ever have a chance, would you consider creating track maps for stations like this? Thanks.--Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 16:55, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kew Gardens 613, I'd be willing to do these track diagrams. The source material would be track maps that can't be publicly downloaded anymore, but it's doable. epicgenius (talk) 18:21, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
2010 NEC master plan (page 90 of the PDF) leaves off the outer sidings, but is otherwise accurate and still publicly available. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 19:38, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
