Windows 7, which received universally positive reception

[edit]

The section says: Under Sinofsky's leadership, the Windows Division successfully shipped the successor to Windows Vista, Windows 7, which received universally positive reception[citation needed] and praise among technology enthusiasts and mainstream users and currently has a rapidly growing user-base of over 450 million. The success of Windows 7 contributed to record-breaking revenue earnings for Microsoft in 2010.[citation needed]

Sorry, this is not true. A lot of us considered Windows 7 to be a joke. Yes, it was better than Vista, but anything would have been (except Windows ME). Suggest you do some searching, it shouldn't be hard to find negative reviews. Since I'm the guy who predicted that Microsoft would enter Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection by 2014-2015 (based on their SEC filings), I can't be considered a disinterested party, so I am not going to edit this page (unless I see a grammar error). I noticed the same thing even before seeing your post. It clearly wasn't universal, but it was more positive than Vista. I think "mostly positive" is fair, so I've changed it to that. Superm401 - Talk 03:51, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think that "mostly positive" strikes the right note. The word "universally" made the entry sound like an advertisement. UrbanTerrorist (talk) 18:00, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
