Anything Can Happen In The Next Half Hour.... Enter Shikari reference to Stringray?

[edit]

The songs title does seem to me to be connected to the show... At least to me...

The lyrics reference a "silence" between two people, which is as close to Stingray as it gets (Troy and Marina). I'd say it's not a reference. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.41.94.238 (talk) 23:02, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, there is a reference in the EP, where the line "Anything can happen in the next half hour" is said by the original actor. However, in the new song edit on Take To The Skies, it does not appear in there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.135.157.197 (talk) 23:13, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is mentioned in the article Anything Can Happen in the Next Half Hour. -- Beardo (talk) 01:55, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics?... Aqua Marina

[edit]

Are lyrics not copyrighted? I've seen a similar discussion about the inclusion of lyrics on Wikipedia and most agreed that they were not allowed. Also, if they are allowed, then surely the Spanish version of the song belongs on the Spanish version of Wikipedia and not the English one.

With great reluctance I deleted the section on copyvio grounds. I've seen too many cases of articles being deleted due to the inclusion of such copyrighted material. Sorry. 23skidoo 17:58, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The Number Three?

[edit]

Can anyone tell me (and preferably add) why the number three was on the fin / tail of the Stingray craft? And were there not more of them with different numbers? Robinson weijman 15:16, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stingray was always launched from Marineville's Pen 3, as far as I can remember. SuperMarioMan 15:55, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks. Are you sure enough to add it to the main page? Robinson weijman 11:08, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, I've checked the opening title sequence and it definitely was Pen 3 - added to article. Marineville must have had other ocean-going craft - that is the implication in many of the episodes - but Stingray was normally the only vessel to feature. SuperMarioMan 23:09, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks. Robinson weijman 07:19, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Stingray-tvshow.jpg

[edit]

Image:Stingray-tvshow.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

what does TWOR stand for?

[edit]

I've noticed Troy and co using the phrase "TWOR" in the same way "FAB" is used in Thunderbirds, does anyone know what it stands for? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seveb (talkcontribs) 08:49, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's actually "PWOR" and stands for "Proceeding With Orders Received" - watch the episode with the character of Johnny Swoonara to find that out.

Incidentally, in that episode, you may be interested to discover that the puppet of Johnny Swoonara is also the puppet that was used for Steve Zodiac in Fireball XL5.

Cast list

[edit]

Wouldn't it be good to include the voice credits, whether in the list of characters or as a separate box ? -- Beardo (talk) 21:40, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
