Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Can "Stress" Canatan (talk) 02:10, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think the I have adressed the issues you talked about, Hope u keep in touch before deleting, or if u do delete tell me were the issues was!

I dunno, I think it should still be deleted. It doesn't read that much like an advertisement, but the person doesn't seem notable and there are no references. –TCN7JM 02:13, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I could reference Newspaper articles about the albums released as they would promote them I didn’t include them. There are several songs that have not been listed that got released only in Sweden. Don’t know if u consider Sweden as a small country or medium sized. Only reason we included these Swedish albums is because they were his productions throughout the entire album.

But I will not argue to much about your decision, if you have your reasons in doing what you do

It isn't my decision. I'm not an administrator. But I have a couple comments on your reply. First, it doesn't matter what size Sweden is. Second, referencing newspaper articles is a good thing. Reference them! –TCN7JM 02:29, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Basically, the article needs to be verifiable. This means that reliable sources have to substantiate the article's content, and they have to show that the article's subject is notable. If they are good sources, they will probably do this as a "notable" subject has received significant coverage in independent sources. dci | TALK 02:38, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry its 4 am local time, I was quick to blame when you are just offering advise on how I can make the article better. And about Sweden being a small country, my meaning didn’t translate that well, I read somewhere that an artist had to be notable in medium or large country. And I couldn’t place Sweden in a special category. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stressworld (talkcontribs) 03:02, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the CSD tag so that the new sources can be scanned. In the case that any problems arise, are all parties OK with userfying this article (moving it into User:Stressworld's own space)? dci | TALK 03:34, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is no problem with making it a User page, Problem would be the name of the page. As the name should be Can "Stress" Canatan, thats why I created a new article, and the earlier name couldnt be changed. would be gratefull for the help if its possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stressworld (talkcontribs) 03:40, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Move the article to User:Stressworld/Stress (entertainer) (that should be the name, not Can "Stress" Cantan) for seasoning. Also, is there some way the Swedish sources can be translated? I'm kind of opposed to having an enwiki article with every ref but one in Swedish. –TCN7JM 03:48, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can delete the article until future work from the US is being released, and we can try this again. I have saved the code at this time, and I have to get to sleep. (sorry, but the ref articles only come in swedish). So we will try this on the Swedish wiki — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stressworld (talkcontribs) 04:03, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You don't need "US sources" to write an article here. The articles from Swedish newspapers are pretty good and reliable and suggest the subject is notable in Sweden. What I see as a bigger issue, however, is the promotional tone of the article. This is a neutral encyclopedic project and you should avoid using subjective phrases such as "... At 16, Stress was a popular DJ at some of Sweden's hottest R&B and Hip-hop clubs ..." or "... he created a personal, unique sound ..." But I think it is easily fixable. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 07:34, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
