Podcast
Of course, this is completely COI so I'm posting it here - I produced an extended interview with Sue at the 2008 wikimania conference for the podcast WikipediaWeekly. I just thought I'd point it out here in case people thought it might be worthwhile adding to the external links section, especially since there is already two other interviews of her there. The episode can be found here. Best, Witty Lama 13:42, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Dalton Camp Lecture, 2009
It would be useful to review Sue Gardner's talk for the Dalton Camp Lecture for 2009. It appears to me that Ms. Gardner doesn't understand the difference between journalism and communications techniques (nor really cares about it) nor much thinks about how the end-user figures in the complex of media technology beyond saying "trust us, it'll all work out."
http://podcast.cbc.ca/mp3/ideas_20091228_24171.mp3
That most of the lecture is a commercial for Wikimedia Foundation is of course, appalling. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.226.232.34 (talk) 06:23, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
not notable
Just because she is famous in "Wikipedia circles", doesn't mean she is notable enough for wikipedia. This article should be removed. Of course it won't, because of corruption and stupidity. 91.155.223.201 (talk) 11:39, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for sharing that. Try not to be so shy expressing your opinion next time. Witty Lama 13:42, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
- '91.155.233.201' is just wrong. Go to her website via "external links" to see 'notable'. Read the bottom paragraphs. Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 13:50, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

LinkedIn ref and Ryerson
I'm guessing (since there was no edit summary) that the LinkedIn ref was removed because it's an unreliable source for a BLP (although I believe it does meet WP:SELFPUB). I understand it's not reliable, but is where she went to school really that controversial? That we should be so paranoid as to not trust the fact that Gardner wrote her own profile? Of course it's possible that some imposter could have created that profile for her, but much less likely than if she created herself, and it's not like her getting a degree in Journalism from Ryerson University is some headline-making scandal that we can't use a primary source. I dunno, maybe there's another reason, I guess my gripe is that if you're going to remove an adequate source at least replace it with a better one instead of a citation needed tag. -- Ϫ 08:38, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind. It was in the recent Globe and Mail interview source all along. -- Ϫ 17:21, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Susan Gardner redirect
Are Susan Gardner, Summer Catch actress and Sue Gardner, Wikimedia bigwig the same person? The only links to Susan refer to that film, so unless Sue had a brief acting career not mentioned in this article, I suggest taking Susan to WP:RFD. 76.211.5.153 (talk) 05:34, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Successor as Executive Director?
Earlier this year, Sue Gardner announced she would be stepping down as Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation, but that she would stay on until a successor was found. Does anyone know if there have been any recent developments regarding the search for a new ED? MarsTheGrayAdept (talk) 05:46, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

- They recently (yesterday) hired a new "Chief Communications Officer" [Katherine Maher] but are still in process of finding a New Executive Director for WMF ....on the 25th, the job posting was taken off and this was posted by Jan Barte on meta

As mentioned before we have taken a different tactic in finding new candidates and we have met with several people and we have had several meetings with candidates with two or more members of the Transition Team.
We are at a point where we have three candidates that we all feel are great. We hope to speak to them in the coming week or two and hope to go into the final process (reference checking, terms negotiation etc.) after that. We would then likely be looking to announce the new ED in May.
Sue touched upon this subject during the Metrics update which took place on March 6th.

Different images?
When I visit this page via Sue Gardner , I get a 2011 image of hers but when I visit it via Susan Gardner , I get a 2008 image. Why is that?

Dear Sue Gardner
Sue, I sincerely think that the tag/s on this page should either be removed or the page corrected so that the tags can be removed. I wish to place this page on a small youtube.com video but not with those large tags _making the page look so bad._ There are, I think, editors that can remedy this. Please reply and let me know something one way or another. I thank you.
Respectfully,
