Location?

[edit]

From my two-time vacations to Oman I once visited this Mosque or one very similar. I have never been to Muscat, instead spending both my visits in and near Salalah. The page for Salalah states the Grand Mosque is located there, yet this page as well as Muscat's own, and indeed the official Omani tourism website all cite Muscat as the location of the Grand Mosque. Am I just going crazy, or is there a major mistake here? 212.152.3.114 (talk) 00:00, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just easy: There are different "Sultan Qaboos Mosques" all over Oman, e.g. in Salalah or Nizwa. However, there is only one "Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque" and this mosque is located in Muscat. Hemeier (talk) 20:38, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque RB.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on May 1, 2017. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2017-05-01. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 00:42, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
