Restructuring

Thank you to whomever cleaned up this entry. As you may have noticed, I was having difficulty with the image uploading.--Mphamilton 21:28, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

I have sent a request to the WV Supreme Court of Appeals website administrator requesting clarification of these images (as well as others) for use in the public domain and on Wikipedia. Thank you for your patience.--Mphamilton 21:34, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have personally removed the two images from this entry due to possible copyright violation. I am awaiting a response from the webmaster for the Supreme Court of Appeals in West Virginia before making any other changes. Thank you for your patience. --Mphamilton 13:33, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As expected, the images of the Justices and the Courtroom require special copyright permission that I will seek. The image of the Seal, however, is permissible for informational purposes. See below. --Mphamilton 20:45, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
From the Web Coordinator, Angie Smith, for the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia: "As for the seal, you can certainly copy/use the seal in an informational way, you could display and say “this is the seal of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia” but it can’t be used in any official way, on a document or other website etc. that would imply or make it seem like an official document from this court or that a website was associated with the Court in any way."

Drafts for missing Justices of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia

[edit]

Drafts have been seeded for the following missing Justices of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia (many of whom also held other state offices, or played other parts in the history of the state):

Any improvements to these towards getting them moved to mainspace would be appreciated. Cheers! BD2412 T 16:35, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Intermediate Appellate Court

[edit]

As of April 2021, West Virginia has passed a bill creating an intermediate appeals court that will be operable by July 2022. The article should reflect this fact. I am not an experienced wiki editor, just a WV law student who noticed that this article implies that West Virginia has no plans to establish an appeals court.199.115.144.22 (talk) 21:39, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
